For decades, the Philippine Elections are monopolized by personality-based political parties in the country, which hold their respective conventions, not to nominate the best possible qualified candidate but to automatically endorse and crown those who have power and influence. As a result, the Filipino people are denied over and over again with the right kind of leaders who can lead our nation out of poverty, graft and corruptions and injustices.

This coming 2010 elections, something must be done and somebody must take a stand, to prevent politicians, who have clear tract records of being corrupt and ineffective, who serve only their personal interest and those who habitually compromise the integrity and ideals of public service, from taking control, again, the positions of leadership in the Government.

Now is the time to bring back this political power to the people. A NEW ELECTORAL FORCE must be created with a Mechanism that would allow our people to select the best and most qualified candidates for positions of leadership and public service in our country this coming 2010 elections and beyond.

Thus, the conception of this idea and the birth of ONE VOTE Movement.

ONE VOTE hopes to provide such mechanism, and will serve as a formidable force to help install the right leaders who will serve the best interest of our people.

“It is a useless life that is not

consecrated to a great ideal.

It is like a stone wasted on the field without

becoming a part of any edifice.” – Jose Rizal

Music: "Philippines Arise" by Sharon Daisy Trigo-Maluenda

In time of tests
Look at it, a stepping stone to grow
Just stretch your faith
And see how great the God who called you
For God has chosen you for a purpose
No matter what you'll stand
And see great things beyond

Chorus
Philippines arise, great is your destiny
You bear the prominence and pride
Uniqueness and beauty
Philippines arise, you are called by God
To be blessed and be a blessing
Soar high and fulfill your destiny

Bridge
This is your time Philippines to arise
The anointing of God is upon you

Bear in mind that storms are there
To test your faith and grow
For great is our God who renews your strength
And is there to help you
For God has chosen you for a purpose
No matter what you'll stand
And see great things beyond

Repeat Chorus and Bridge

Repeat Chorus 2x
